GaaaaaaaaH!
The writing continues, although the book is becoming more of a short story, with my eyes on publication in magazines like Alfred Hitchcock Mystery Magazine. I'm more energized about writing now, and having a bit more fun with it.

Anybody watch Show Me the Money, William Shatner's new game show, last night? This Millionaire,Deal or No Deal, Dancing with the Stars rip-off has to be the absolute worst program ever to see broadcast on a major network. The Shat looks more and more like W.C.Fields every day, but he was the only enjoyable thing about the show, which was the most derivative thing I've ever seen. Of course the contestant, an extremely effeminate male wearing a murse (man-purse) may have had something to do with the show's chart-topping cringe factor, not to mention Shat's frequent jabs at the man's orientation, but I'm sorry. Bill, please stick to Boston Legal.

One of the first and best spiritual and inspirational books I ever read was Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman. This is a wonderful tale of a young man's spiritual awakening at the hands of a wise old garage mechanic who may or may not be real. Taken as a memior or as a spiritual allegory, it is a powerful book. It has been made into a very good movie, Peaceful Warrior. It did not play in theatres in my town, but I caught a screening of it at Christ Unity Church. Yes, the story has been Hollywoodized, but it is still effective and highlly entertaining, and Nick Nolte is great as the old sage. Check it out as soon as you can. The DVD comes out in February.
